REX Stores Corporation is a specialty retailer of consumer electronic products and appliances. As of April 30, 2008, the Company operated
111 retail stores in 34 states under the trade name of "REX". The Company entered
the alternative energy industry in fiscal year 2006 by investing in several entities
organized to construct and subsequently operate ethanol producing plants. REX has
also been active in several synthetic fuel investments since fiscal year 1998.

Consumer Electronics

We carry high quality, nationally recognized brands such as Frigidaire, Hitachi,
JVC, Panasonic, Philips, Magnavox, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba, and Whirlpool,
providing customers with a broad selection of models and price points.
A hallmark of our business strategy has always been to dominate the smaller markets
with low prices and excellent service, especially when it comes to sales of digital
and large screen television products (35 inches or bigger). Our small store formats,
product selection and knowledgeable sales force are very conducive to this type
of sale.
Distribution centers in Ohio, Wyoming, and Florida provide REX a broad platform
from which to distribute inventory across the country.

Alternative Energy

Our current energy investments includes the following ethanol plants,
Big River Resources, 
Levelland/Hockley Ethanol, 
Patriot Renewable Fuels  and  
One Earth Energy. 
These plants vary in stages of development.

Big River Resources, LLC
REX has a 10% ownership interest in Big River Resources, LLC. Big River is a holding company for
several entities including Big River Resources West Burlington, LLC, which operates a recently expanded 92 million gallon dry-mill ethanol
manufacturing facility in West Burlington, Iowa. The facility has been in operation since 2004, operating previously
as a 52 million gallon ethanol facility. Big River has begun construction of it's second plant which has a design capacity of 100 million
gallons of ethanol and 320,000 tons of dried distiller grains per year. The plant is located in Galva, Illinois and is expected to be
completed in the second half of 2009.

Levelland/Hockley County Ethanol, LLC
REX has a 56% ownership interest in Levelland/Hockley County Ethanol, LLC, or Levelland/Hockley.
The plant has a design capacity of 40 million gallons of ethanol per year and began operation in March 2008.
ICM, Inc. provided construction, process design and engineering services for the plant.

Patriot Renewable Fuels, LLC
REX has a 23% ownership interest in Patriot Renewable Fuels, LLC. Patriot has commenced construction of an ethanol
producing facility in Annawan, Illinois. The facility has a design capacity of 100 million gallons ethanol and 320,000 tons of
dried distiller grains per year. Fagen, Inc. and ICM, Inc. are providing construction, process design and engineering services for
the plant. The plant is expected to begin ethanol production in the second half of 2008.

One Earth Energy, LLC
In October 2007, REX acquired 74% ownership in One Earth Energy, LLC, which intends to construct an ethanol
producing facility in Gibson City, Illinois. The facility is expected to have a design capacity of 100 million gallons of
ethanol and 320,000 tons of dried distiller grains per year. The plant is expected to begin ethanol production in spring
of 2009.
